Earlier, rootKit application was the one utilized for the purpose, however, it doesn’t work on A12 devices. For CarrierChanger12, the developer utilized the fork of voucher_swap of bazad by Alticha.

Please note that CarrierChanger12 supports devices from iPhone 6s and above including A12 devices. CarrierChanger12 V 1.1 | How to Use?
Your first step will be to sideload CarrierChanger12 V 1.1. IPA onto your supported iPhone. Please download the IPA from here. If you are not aware of the sideloading steps you can check our post for the same by clicking here. In order to prevent sideloading issues, you have to utilize the latest Cydia Impactor for iPhone XR/XS and iPhone XS Max.
- Launch the application and type any name in the text field.
- Press ‘Done’ on the keyboard.
- Hit ‘Go.’
- Press ‘Re-spring.’
- Reboot!
In order to restore from backup, you can simply launch the application and thereafter tap on ‘Restore with Backup.’ Press ‘Re-spring’ and later reboot your iOS device. If you notice there is a ‘Got Reverted’ button as well on the application. the iOS operating system sometimes reverts the carrier name back to default. In such cases, simply press the ‘Got Reverted’ button, re-spring, and reboot your device later on.
