[Update] [How-To] Install iOS 15.4 EmojiFonts with EmojiPort Installer
Below are the steps that you require following to install iOS 15.4 EmojiFonts on jailbroken devices running on iOS 14/14+. This update will be available for iOS 10-13 soon.
Step 1
Please navigate to the linked GitHub page and download the AppleColorEmoji-160px.ttc font file. Make sure you have Filza File Manager installed on your iOS device for performing the steps below.
Step 2
Please open the downloaded font file in Filza. The iOS 14 users require placing the font file at /System/Library/Fonts/Core and renaming it to AppleColorEmoji.ttc.
Step 3
The iOS 14.1+ users, before placing the font file at /System/Library/Fonts/CoreAddition, require taking the backup of the existing AppleColorEmoji-160px.ttc font file. This makes it easy to revert in case something goes wrong. You can copy it elsewhere or rename it to AppleColorEmoji-160px.ttc.bak.
Step 4
After renaming the existing font file, please copy the downloaded font file and give it the necessary permissions. For that, please tap on the Info button next to the file and under Ownership, set the owner to ‘Root’ and the group to ‘wheel.’ Scroll down and under Access Permissions set the owner to ‘Read, Write’, the group to ‘Read’, and others to ‘Read.’
Step 5
If you haven’t downloaded the latest EmojiPort Installer (iOS 12.0-iOS 14.8) yet, then please get it from https://poomsmart.github.io/repo/. From the repo, make sure you also install EmojiPort Resources (iOS 10+), EmojiAttributes, and EmojiLibrary.
Please do not install EmojiFontManager as the same does not work. If, by chance, you have it installed already, you require uninstalling the same for the above steps to work.
Step 6
Respring your device for the changes to take effect.
