iOS 12, the latest version of its mobile OS is going to release in the upcoming days. This iOS version will see many security updates which will fix most of the vulnerabilities of the iOS. The jailbreak community is trying really hard to understand the new iOS 12 through its beta releases. These will be very useful in developing a working iOS 12 jailbreak when the final build comes out. Though, a developer has developed a Jailbreak for iOS 12 beta on iPhone X.
Developers are in search of new security vulnerabilities that will allow jailbreak on iOS 12 final version. Even @nullriver, a prominent jailbreak developer, has said it might be difficult to jailbreak iOS 12. The developer has found several components in the new iOS 12 beta build that can make jailbreaking harder on iOS 12. But, it hasn’t stopped the developers from finding ways to jailbreak iOS 12 and now it seems that someone has finally achieved some success in the task.

iOS 12 Beta 12 R/w Access Achieved
Just days before iOS 12’s officially unveiling, some researchers by the name Simone Ferrini, jndok and Filippo Roncari has finally managed to achieve the feat. They found a security exploit in iOS 12 Beta 12, which made it possible to achieve r/w access. The researchers also uploaded a video demonstration of their work, providing proof of their claims.
Though at this stage, the exploit doesn’t make up for a full and final jailbreak and a lot of work is still yet pending. There are still much work to be done by developers for it to become a full jailbreak. But, the possibility that this exploit will become a key component in the final public jailbreak. Those who already use jailbreak in iOS 11 or earlier can now download the new Lucid Cydia tweak to clear notifications in one go.

The Future of iOS 12 Jailbreak: Kernal Memory with R/W
Many times it happens that even if someone finds a vulnerability or exploit in iOS, they never make it public. Contrary to others, the researcher of this exploit will be making it public, and hopefully others developers will carry on the work to develop a new jailbreak. The role of this exploit in becoming a key component in a future jailbreak is still under qualms. Many developers believe this exploit won’t develop into anything, German hacker “Siguza” being one of them.
This is understandable as the official iOS 12 is still not released yet. It is possible that Apple may patch the exploit in the final version release. Beta versions are meant to find and fix various bugs and error that may make official build vulnerable. Like they released a new Update to fix iOS update error in the latest iOS 12 beta.
Conclusion: iOS 12 beta pwned Kernal Memory Read/Write Acess
Apple always patches all the vulnerabilities in the beta versions that gives a way for developers to develop a jailbreak. So, the future of the iOS 12 jailbreak is still pretty vague until the iOS 12 final build comes out. But the release of this exploit means that the jailbreak community is working on the task. Though it may take some time, you will definitely see a jailbreak for iOS 12 in the future.
