The developments in the jailbreak community are not showing any signs of stopping. Lately, tihmstar,v1ntex a well-known hacker and a developer was in news due to his release of a voucher_swap based exploit for iOS 11.2-12.1.2 covering 4K devices. Now, the developer has announced the release of v3ntex which is a tfp0 exploit that supports iOS 12 devices. Earlier he released the tfp0 exploit for iOS 11.4-11.4.1 devices. Sharing the public release on Twitter, tihmstar stated that he has only tested his v3ntex exploit on iPhone 6 running on iOS 12.1.2.
However, from the GitHub page, we can gather the statistics that the exploit works up to 12.1.2 and should get you tfp0 exploit. Also, the developer has stated that the exploit must work on all 4K devices running on iOS 12.0-12.1.2. A note also exists on the GitHub page stating that the exploit can probably be slightly improved to replace at least one non-deterministic component and tihmstar will look onto it in some time.

v3ntex – What the Jailbreak Community has to say?
The jailbreak community was quick to take note of v3ntex. @pwn20wnd, who recently released UnC0ver Jailbreak for iOS 11.4-11.4.1, was quick to state that he will be adding the support for 4K and A12 devices to UnC0ver Jailbreak once Cydia and Cydia Substrate for the same is ready.
RootlessJB 3.1 developer Jake James also jumped on the bandwagon stating that he is working with v3ntex exploit and is facing issues in getting the exploit to work. According to his tweet, he is receiving an ‘invalid-msg-type’ error on line 778.
Can we hope a complete jailbreak for iOS 12 to come out soon?
Well! Nothing can be said with certainty. However, the developments going on in the jailbreak community are, definitely, pointing to the fact that a complete jailbreak for iOS 12 will come out soon.
